Godkaiser
This is a very special model, being an oldie and pretty hard to find in general aside. I acquired this model while spending a month in Japan studying, and had been hitting up the hobby stores in Osaka's Den Den Town during some of my free time. I was visiting a particularly tiny, easy to miss hobby store that day, and way in the back, they had a case full of many rare vintage Zoids. Needless to say, you can guess what I saw when I went in for a closer look. It was still in the box, unbuilt, bags unopened, and at the time, was going for a pretty competitive price, so, knowing that I would probably never come across an opportunity like this ever again (And I have looked :p), I bought it. Like other Grade Up Zoids, the motor does require assembly, but it was not difficult. When it's all together, Godkaiser walks along, arms moving up and down and jaws chomping. The gold chrome parts are a very cool- toned gold in color, which goes well as Godkaiser is molded in cool tones overall.Godkaiser's overall design is a bit odd, but I think that's what I enjoy most about this mutant... kangaroo... tyrannosaurus rex model that seemed to be waiting for me in that tiny hobby store the most :).
