Gildragon
Gildragon is the Genesis incarnation of the infamous Gilvader. And if you haven't at least heard of Gilvader and you're into Zoids, then umm... you must be living under a rock :p. Anyways, Gildragon is an extremely fun Zoid to build and he's BIG. As far as height goes, Gildy stands slightly shorter than Gojulas, but it is the widest Zoid model ever made (And as such, is a shelf space hog.), with a wingspan of slightly less than 2 feet (!). Unlike the regular Zoid models, Gildragon requires quite a bit of assembling, especially in the case of the motor box. It's pretty amazing that so many little clever mechanisms make this big model work and to me, Gildragon really exemplefies what makes Zoids so interesting to me.Gildragon comes with two sets of horns; the old school masers and the newfangled... swept back horn things. I stuck with the masers, didn't even put on the other horns to see what it looked like. Gildragon is moulded in white, blue and metallic gold. The white isn't flat white, but more of a pearl white (With very ltitle pigment whirls in the plastic). The white is pretty, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to see what Gildy would look like back in its original color scheme of black, purple and pink. The nice thing about Gildy as well is that the motor and the lights are controlled by different power sources. If you turn the lights on, they'll stay solid for a few seconds before they start blinking randomly (YAY GILDRAGON CHRISTMAS TREE TOPPER). When you turn the motor on, Gildy shuffles forward, tail bobbing up and down, wings flapping, jaws chomping and the Beam Smashers spinning. Gildy really is a great model and perfect if you're probably one of the several people who can't afford/just don't have the OJR Gilvader model (Built ones typically go in the price range of $400-$600, MIB seems to go for around $800-over $1000. US dollars of course.), you'll want a Gildy. Though be prepared to spend a good chunk of money on it anyways; most places will only ship EMS if you buy overseas, due to the sheer size of Gildragon's box. But the up side is that it'll be at your doorstep no later than a week. Anyways, I suppose you all want to see pictures after reading all that blather, and I don't like to disappoint people :p.
