Frequently Asked Questions
Where did you buy [x] Zoid?
I buy most of my model kits from HobbyLink Japan, Image Anime, and Toy-Wave.
When I can, I also buy from Leo Shop. And sometimes nice people send Zoids to me :p. I purchase my metal detailing parts from MechaSkunk.com.
And now I like trawling Yahoo!Japan Auctions and Rakuten.
Heaven help us :p. Obviously, unless you live in Japan, you really can't buy directly from those places, but there are some links to companies/people who can bid/buy on your behalf for a fee.
Where did you get [insert rare limited edition model here]/where can I find that model at a decent price?
I tend to preorder a lot of my models before they've been released, so I don't really know where to tell you to get the model after the regular stores are sold out. Other than eBay of course.
What's your favorite Zoid?
I can't pick one, but my favorites are Salamander of course (Hello, rustysalamander.net. I like Krark especially.), Zeek Dober, Glidoler, and Genosaurer.
May I use your pictures/custom models for my rpg/avatar/signature/whatever?
No. I don't mind if you save the regular model pictures (As in, not custom models) for drawing reference. But when in doubt, email me and ask. I'm more likely to be nice if you ask first :p.
Do you understand Japanese?/Can you translate this data for me?
I can read hiragana and katakana and some kanji, but I'm still learning a lot of grammar stuff. I don't really have the time/know- how to translate large amounts of data however.
How long have you been collecting models?
It's been five years as of August 2007. Whee
How many models do you have?
As of 10/3/07, 117 models. Yay!
Will you tell me how to paint/remodel a Zoid a certain way?
Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to walk people step by step through my techniques. However, you're welcome to ask questions about my customs of course; I just don't have time go through the process
in detail. My work in progress page is a good place to start to see how I build up my customs, and I do make some tutorials from time to time in the how-to section.
Is this the end of the FAQs section?
Yes. Yes it is.
